Now i'm in the minority, but i love the store mounts and i'm happy with buying them with real money.īecause to be honest after running the same damn instances every week for god knows how many years sometimes you just want a damn mount.īut that's just me. They already take my time when it is available. At least, nothing more than what would compel someone to grind for months and possibly years for the Attumen's mount, or Arthas', or any other mount that requires a lot of time.Īs money grubbing members of a famous green race frequently says, "time is money." It confers no game play advantage to anyone. I think it is great that paying hard cold cash for a mount is something they occasionally offer. Having said that, I will add my 2 cents on the actual mount: it's quite beautiful, it is elegant, and it is subdued. These teams would undoubtedly be completely separate from the teams that would be dedicated to classes and probably even spec visual design. Possibly, these are in addition to the team of people that actually design the mounts and those that build and animate them! It would not be surprising if Blizzard has a team of people dedicated to mount ideas and another team of people that decides how these mounts are obtained. Hell, for a company of this size, more than 50, etc.
Just in case you are unaware, you should know that companies are more than 5 guys in a room. Love this mount but when I tried it said internal error try again later ffs ! That's why we are able to have pretty locations even though game is lacking in some other fields. Guys who do modeling, animation and FX will never be working on things that are wrong in this expansion. Companies hire ppl who are specializing in something. Im not sure you know how game company works, or any company Im afraid. What people forget blizzard are doing this and making in-game mounts, what happened to earning them in-game? they have the time to do this when they've got a game that has so many things wrong with it they could be taking the time to fix it all. They release a store mount normally what once an expansion? I wouldn't be entirely surprised if they hire artists to work on textures on a contract basis. That and this mount most likely uses an already existing skeleton which means no animation work(long and grueling process) It would be different art teams working on these. But I have never really cared about money-making/promotional fluff stuff. A lot of time being spent on things like meat wagon, the ship mount, now this. I feel as though there are more important things for them to be spending time + resources on right now. It's cute but it'd be nice if the art department would instead work on something needed, like giving cat form a stealth animation after they pulled it from the game.
